REACh Regional Centers Home |

In 2007, four regional centers were created through IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) grant funding in an effort to build statewide capacity for the REACh Initiative.
The purpose of the REACh regional centers is to provide access to workshops and training materials supporting implementation of the REACh framework components. Each center also serves as a regional resource for information about REACh activities and materials.
CESA Clusters for each regional REACh Collaborative Center
Four regional collaborative centers involving all CESAs will increase statewide capacity through workshops and technical assistance to assist schools in assessing and improving systems so academic success is assured for all students.
Northwest/North Central - CESAs 9, 10, 11, 12
Northeast/Central - CESAs 6, 7 & 8
Southwest/South - CESAs 2, 3 & 4
Southeast/Central - CESAs 1 & 5
In 2009, the REACh regional centers will focus on the following activities:
- Development of regional leadership teams
- Needs assessment to target training and technical assistance priorities for each region
- Ongoing training to meet regional needs
- Collaboration with family and parent representatives to increase meaningful family involvement in districts implementing the REACh framework.
- Technical assistance to specified districts to support DPI focused monitoring and disproportionality activities.
- Regional support for district based REACh mentors
